The Archuleta County Clerk and Recorder's Office has relocated voting centers and ballot drop boxes ahead of Tuesday's election due to severe rain and flood risk in Pagosa Springs, according to the Colorado Secretary of State's Office. The Ross Aragon Community Center Voter Center and Pagosa Springs Town Hall Ballot Drop Box are no longer in operation.
New voting locations include the Archuleta County Courthouse Voter Center at 109 Harmon Park Drive in Pagosa Springs and a mobile drop box in the parking lot at 10 Solomon Drive in Pagosa Springs. Voters also can use the Pine River Library at Bayfield as a joint voter center for Archuleta and La Plata County residents.
Voters affected by flooding who have not yet cast ballots can visit any voter center across Colorado to request a replacement ballot, according to the state. Voting in their home county allows them to cast ballots for all local contests, while voting in other counties limits them to statewide races. Voters with access to their mail ballots can return them to any drop box or voter center in the state by 7 p.m. on election day. Those unable to vote in person or return their mail ballot due to flooding can request an emergency ballot through the state's online system.
