Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's office arrested multiple convicted felons for voting illegally in the 2026 election. Arrest warrants were issued October 30, 2026, in Montgomery County.

The arrests followed a citizen report submitted October 27 alleging that felons on parole or probation had cast ballots in Harris County. The Attorney General's Election Integrity Unit investigated, verifying the individuals' identities and reviewing their voter registration and ballot records.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice confirmed that multiple individuals were on parole when they voted, making them ineligible under state law.

"My Election Integrity Unit is actively investigating additional reports of election crimes," Paxton said.
