The 2027 health insurance marketplace open enrollment period begins November 1 and runs through January 15, the Oklahoma Insurance Department said. Those seeking coverage beginning January 1 must enroll by December 15.
Applicants must provide basic information including name, Social Security number, and mailing address for themselves and household members, along with income and tax details and information about current coverage. Pricing can be compared at HealthCare.gov/see-plans.
Free local enrollment assistance is available through trained navigators and certified application counselors at HealthCare.gov/find-local-help.
Oklahoma will remain on the federal health insurance marketplace for plan year 2027, with a transition to a state-based exchange set to begin in 2028, the department said.
"Don't wait for the last minute to check your coverage options," Insurance Commissioner Glen Mulready said. "Educating yourself on the enrollment process, comparing plans, and seeking local help if needed can make enrolling in a Marketplace plan less daunting."
