Connecticut is making $19.5 million available to nonprofit health and human services providers for facility upgrades, safety improvements, and technology enhancements. The ninth round of the state's Nonprofit Grant Program, administered by the Office of Policy and Management, is now open for applications, with a deadline of January 5, 2027.

The program funds capital improvements that nonprofit organizations would otherwise struggle to afford. Eligible projects include facility renovations and additions, health and safety upgrades aligned with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), energy efficiency improvements, information technology infrastructure, technology that promotes client independence, vehicle purchases to support service delivery, and property acquisition.

Grant awards are expected to be announced in spring 2027. Since its establishment in 2013, the state has made more than $185 million available through the program. The first eight rounds awarded approximately $166 million to support more than 700 capital improvement projects across Connecticut.

Governor Lamont said the grants help nonprofits "focus more of their resources on what matters most—the people they serve" by providing funding for facility improvements that would otherwise be out of reach.
