More than 4.2 million Texans cast ballots during the first six days of early voting, the state's Secretary of State announced, representing approximately 22 percent of the state's 19 million registered voters. Early voting began Oct. 19 and continues through Friday, Oct. 30, with election day set for Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The totals were compiled from reports submitted by Texas counties through Saturday, Oct. 24, according to the Secretary of State's office. Since 2019, counties have reported voting totals and rosters into a statewide portal that allows the public to track daily figures by county.

Registered voters may cast ballots at any early voting location in their county of registration. The state's official website, VoteTexas.gov, allows voters to check their registration status, find polling locations, review identification requirements, and learn more about the voting process.
