The Lake Oswego Department of Motor Vehicles office will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday following a three-week closure for environmental testing and repairs, the Oregon Department of Transportation said.
The office at 3 SW Monroe Parkway, Suite D, was closed from Oct. 6-26 after an odor was detected. The agency worked with building management and its safety office to investigate the source, performing plumbing and HVAC repairs during the closure.
A private company was hired to conduct air quality testing for natural gas, carbon monoxide, mold and radon. No hazardous emissions were detected.
"We received the final test results late last week and wanted to ensure any potential issues were addressed before reopening," said David McKay, Oregon DMV Field Services Group Manager.
Customers needing DMV services can use Express Kiosks at Fred Meyer stores throughout the region or complete many transactions through the agency's online platform.
