The Culver City Plunge will close from May 10 through June 12, 2027, for planned maintenance and repairs. The closure will affect regular programming including lap swimming, Masters swim programs, and AquaFit classes.

Working closely with Public Works, the City determined that moving the maintenance project to spring would provide sufficient time to complete necessary repairs while avoiding impacts to school-age competitive seasons, including girls' water polo. Completing the maintenance is important to the long-term condition and operation of the pool, as deferring the work could lead to more extensive damage and require a longer closure in the future.

The Plunge will also close from December 19, 2026, through January 2, 2027, for its usual two-week winter closure, reopening January 3, 2027.

Swimmers seeking alternatives during the closures can visit nearby facilities including the West Hollywood Aquatic Center, Westwood Pool and Celes King III Pool operated by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, the Santa Monica Swim Center (closed December 14 through January 3 for winter maintenance), and the El Segundo Aquatic Center.
