Gov. Mark Gordon on Wednesday endorsed four Republican candidates for Wyoming constitutional offices, citing their qualifications and commitment to fiscal conservatism and limited government. The endorsed candidates are Robert Short for secretary of state, Kristi Racines for auditor, Curt Meier for treasurer, and Steve Harshman for superintendent of education.

Gordon also endorsed Eric Barlow for governor earlier in the week. All four candidates endorsed Wednesday advanced through the Republican primary process, according to the governor's office.

Gordon cited Short's business experience and executive knowledge as qualifications for secretary of state, saying he has the credentials for election security and informed decisionmaking on state boards. The governor said Racines, the current auditor, established transparency standards through her WyOpen website and demonstrated effective leadership. Gordon said Meier, the current treasurer, has consistently managed the state's finances while maintaining conservative principles, and that Harshman has the legislative experience and knowledge to lead the state's education system.

Gordon said he plans to announce additional endorsements for state-level legislative races in coming days.
