Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 131 gang-affiliated individuals during October 4-10, the Department of Homeland Security said. The arrests included 22 MS-13 affiliates and 13 members of Tren de Aragua (TDA), a Venezuelan criminal organization.
The arrests are part of expanded law enforcement operations under the Trump administration. Since Trump took office January 20, ICE has made 12,018 gang-related administrative arrests, according to the department, including 1,965 MS-13 affiliates and 1,553 TDA members.
Among those arrested was Jose Luis Perez-Arrias, a Venezuelan Tren de Aragua member and suspected hitman, arrested in Tallahassee, Florida on October 14. According to the department, he illegally entered the U.S. in October 2023 and had been released into the country before being rearrested.
