Connecticut began a 14-day period of in-person early voting Monday for the November 3 General Election, according to Governor Ned Lamont and Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas. Voters can cast ballots at designated locations in each municipality from October 19 through November 1.
In-person early voting is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. most days, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on October 27 and October 29, according to the governor's office. Most towns and cities have only one early voting location.
The state allows registered voters to request absentee ballots without providing a reason, a recent change in voting rules. Absentee ballots became available October 2, with a deadline of November 2 to request one. Voters can return absentee ballots by mail, drop box, or in person at their town clerk's office.
Election Day is November 3. Polling places open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters who missed the October 16 registration deadline can register on Election Day at designated locations in their municipality.
