Marin County is launching two mobile vehicles to bring library and health services directly to West Marin's rural and coastal communities.

The BiblioCoaster, operated by the Marin County Free Library, will offer books, technology, programs, and learning opportunities. The Department of Health and Human Services' mobile outreach vehicle will help residents access public benefits including Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs, and General Relief, and navigate other available resources.

"By connecting people with library services, public benefits and help navigating resources, these vehicles are a practical way to meet communities where they are and respond to the region's distinct needs," said District 4 Supervisor Dennis Rodoni.

The HHS mobile vehicle will set up regular availability through appointments or drop-in sessions at schools, medical clinics, community centers, and local businesses across West Marin.

The county is celebrating the vehicles' debut on Tuesday, October 27, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Dance Palace courtyard, 503 B Street in Point Reyes Station. The event will include a ribbon cutting, remarks from Supervisor Rodoni and county leadership, vehicle tours, and staff information sessions.

Schedules and stops for the BiblioCoaster are available on its webpage. Information about HHS mobile services can be found on the West Marin Multi-Services Center webpage or by calling (415) 473-3800.
