Texas farmers, ranchers and landowners will receive approximately $1.2 billion in federal farm safety net and conservation program payments, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency said.
The payments are part of nationwide farm assistance totaling $13.8 billion in gross payments through the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs for the 2025 crop year, according to the USDA. The agency also announced an additional $1.8 billion in Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) annual payments for 2026.
The ARC and PLC programs provide safety net support to farmers when crop prices fall or yields drop. The CRP payments support landowners who participate in conservation efforts.
