Colorado's Secretary of State announced that 452 ballot drop boxes are now available statewide for the November 3 general election.

Secretary of State Jena Griswold said: "More than 450 ballot drop boxes are available across Colorado, making it convenient for every eligible voter to cast their ballot in the 2026 General Election."

The drop boxes represent a 79% increase since 2018. A new state law passed earlier this year enabled ballots to be sent earlier and drop boxes to open earlier than in previous election cycles, according to the agency.

Voters can return ballots to a drop box or voting center, or vote in person at a voting center until 7 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots can also be mailed to county clerks by October 26.
