The Rock Creek Bridge on NW Cornelius Pass Road reopened Friday evening, Oct. 9, north of Hillsboro, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation. The new structure replaces a functionally obsolete bridge built in 1946.

The bridge replacement is part of a larger project transferring NW Cornelius Pass Road from Washington County to state jurisdiction. The road is now designated state route 127.

Construction on the replacement project began in April 2026 and required complete road closure during the work. The bridge reopened to traffic, though crews continue finishing work over the next few weeks, the department said.

The new bridge is a single-span structure with two vehicle lanes and wide shoulders. It is located about 0.7 mile north of NW Germantown Road and approximately 3 miles north of the U.S. 26 junction.

Once complete, the Oregon Department of Transportation will assume maintenance responsibility, the department said.
