Governor Greg Abbott announced the launch of Texas Express online services, which allows businesses to file documents through the Texas Secretary of State with same-day and next-day expedited processing options.

Texas has more than 3.2 million active business entities registered in the state, according to the governor's office. That figure is more than double the approximately 1.4 million active entities in 2015 and represents a significant increase from the 3 million milestone surpassed in 2025.

The new system allows customers to file all business documents online, including mergers and conversions; save filings as drafts; check the status of submissions; retrieve completed filings; and select expedited processing during submission. The launch is part of a broader modernization initiative to improve customer service and increase efficiency.

Secretary of State Robert Howden said the online platform represents a major step forward in modernization efforts. "Texas businesses should expect their state government to provide reliable, efficient and convenient service, and that is what we are working to deliver," he said.
