The Federal Trade Commission announced a settlement with Greenway Auto Group over allegations that the company deceived consumers through deceptive price advertising.

According to the FTC, Greenway Auto Group advertised vehicle prices thousands of dollars below the actual cost consumers paid. The company also sent false prize mailers to consumers, the FTC said.

Under the settlement, Greenway Auto Group agreed that its price advertisements will prominently include the actual price a consumer must pay for a vehicle. The company may exclude only charges the government requires consumers to pay.
