The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources released an initial draft of its next Turkey Management Plan and is seeking public input through November 20, 2026.

The DNR will host open houses in La Crosse on October 12, Merrill on October 13, Appleton on October 14, and a virtual session on October 15 for the public to learn about the direction of turkey management and changes made since the last public input period. Staff will be available to answer questions about the plan's updates.

After reviewing feedback submitted during the comment period, the DNR will revise the draft plan as necessary and present it to the Natural Resources Board for final approval. The public can submit comments through an online tool on the DNR website.
