Gov. Mark Gordon has extended emergency permits for vehicles transporting oversized livestock feed and livestock across Wyoming, citing a critical feed shortage caused by spring and summer drought, high temperatures, wildfires, and low humidity.

Executive Order 2026-008, which takes effect when the current Executive Order 2026-006 expires, extends relief permits for oversize and overweight loads until Nov. 6, 2026, according to the governor's office.

The drought and wildfires have depleted pasture grass and natural forage across the state, creating conditions that threaten Wyoming's agricultural sector and general economy, the governor said.
