Dallas Area Rapid Transit is adding special shuttle bus service and increasing train frequency for the Texas versus Oklahoma football game at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday, October 10.
Starting at 8 a.m. game day, DART will operate special "State Fair Flyer" shuttle buses carrying fans directly to Lot 8 inside Fair Park, with entry through the Midway Gate. Shuttles will depart from Glenn Heights Transit Center, City Line/Bush Station, SMU/Mockingbird Station, Addison Transit Center, and Downtown Rowlett Station/Lake Ray Hubbard Transit Center. Riders will receive color-coded wristbands and see large flags marking shuttle zones.
Extra DART staff will be stationed at each transit center to assist riders. Passengers can also use DART's light rail lines to reach the fairgrounds. The Green or Orange Line goes to Fair Park Station on Parry Avenue at the State Fair's main entrance. The MLK Jr. Station, south of R.B. Cullum Boulevard, provides direct access to Gate 6 and Cotton Bowl Stadium.
All rail lines will operate every 20 minutes throughout game day, with increased capacity from additional rail cars. Depending on crowd levels, some riders may be directed to shuttles for faster access to and from Fair Park.
When the game ends, shuttles will depart from Lot 8 to return riders to their original transit center, with the last buses leaving up to two hours after the game concludes. DART recommends purchasing or activating transit passes in advance using the GoPass app and arriving early to beat crowds.
