Federal authorities announce arrests in Nebraska involving charges of terrorism, gang violence, and sexual assault

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has announced arrest or conviction cases involving undocumented immigrants in Nebraska, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on June 14 in Omaha on charges of allegedly ringleading a failed terrorist plot against UFC Freedom 250 at the White House. He and his co-conspirators face federal charges of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit violence on White House grounds.

Gerson Emir Cuadra Soto, also known as "Fantasma," an MS-13 gang member, was arrested by ICE in Grand Island on December 8, 2025, and is wanted in Honduras for a quadruple homicide.

Aung Lwin was convicted of sexual assault on a child in Omaha and arrested by ICE in August 2026. Carlos Tino-Garcia was convicted of first-degree sexual assault in Lincoln, Nebraska, and arrested by ICE in August 2026. Dennis Nyagesuka was arrested by ICE in Lincoln. His criminal record includes terroristic threats, concealing stolen property, and assault.
