The Internal Revenue Service announced tax relief for individuals and businesses affected by the ongoing conflict in Israel, postponing until Sept. 30, 2027, a range of deadlines for filing federal returns and making tax payments.
The relief applies to affected individuals and businesses in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. The IRS automatically identifies eligible taxpayers based on their principal residence or principal place of business, as shown on previously filed returns.
Other eligible taxpayers or their representatives whose filing address is outside the covered area can obtain relief by calling the IRS disaster hotline at 866-562-5227, or 267-941-1000 for international callers, and identifying the date they qualified for relief. The announcement follows prior relief notices issued in 2023, 2024, and 2025 related to the conflict in Israel.
