The federal government has extended the application deadline to September 25, 2026 for $35 million in grant funding to combat feral swine, according to the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
The funding is part of a broader $105 million investment through the Feral Swine Eradication and Control Pilot Program, with USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service and USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service working together on the initiative.
Selected partners will provide landowner assistance for restoration and on-farm trapping efforts, as well as related services such as training. The agency said the program targets the threat feral swine pose to American agriculture, landscapes, and human and livestock health.
Applications can be submitted through the funding opportunity notice posted on Grants.gov.
