Indiana State Comptroller Elise Nieshalla convened county and municipal leaders from across the state for a roundtable focused on tax revenue distribution, process improvements and technology-driven efficiencies.

The twice-yearly gathering brought together representatives from counties including Adams, Allen, Brown, Clay, Daviess, DeKalb, Elkhart, Hancock, Marshall, Noble, Perry and Vigo, as well as the City of Greenfield. Discussion centered on tax revenue disbursements, excise and settlement procedures, accounting guidance and fund structure alignment.

"Open dialogue and engagement with our local partners is essential to continuous improvement and enhanced collaboration," Comptroller Nieshalla said. "The insights shared help us strengthen processes, streamline distributions and deliver tools that make our shared cycle of work more efficient."

The meeting featured the debut of a training video series designed in response to feedback from local officials, providing practical demonstrations of key processes. Participants offered recommendations for future installments as the office expands its library of on-demand training resources.

Officials also provided updates on Gas Tax Holiday reimbursements, payments issued from the State Disaster Relief Fund and previewed the Comptroller's 2027 legislative priorities.
