ICE deports individuals with serious criminal convictions

Deportations include people convicted of murder, sexual abuse, and drunk driving

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported several individuals with criminal convictions, the Department of Homeland Security announced.

Those deported include: Jose Noel Avelar-Velasquez, deported September 11 with convictions for second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in New York; Jacinto Gonzalez-Perez, deported September 12 with a conviction for careless driving resulting in death in Colorado; Edan Yoel Gomez-Rodriguez, deported September 11 with a conviction for indecent behavior with juveniles in Louisiana; Armando Vladimir Salgado, deported September 11 with convictions for driving while intoxicated and attempted robbery in Virginia; and Mary Angelica Landeros-Quen, deported September 8 with convictions for robbery with a firearm in Florida.

Avelar-Velasquez, Gomez-Rodriguez, and Salgado had each been deported previously before illegally re-entering the country, according to ICE.
