The Colorado Department of State's Electronic Recording Technology Board awarded more than $3.3 million in grants to 33 counties during the 2025-2026 fiscal year to upgrade electronic document recording systems.
The grants range from $1,640.50 to Gilpin County to $351,911 for El Paso County, with funding distributed to counties including Alamosa, Arapahoe, Boulder, Pueblo, and Logan.
The ERTB was created in 2016 with the mission of developing, maintaining, improving, replacing, or preserving land records systems in the state. The board's statutory authority was renewed in 2021 with new legislation allowing it to consider security improvements for counties' recording systems.
Since its creation, the board has awarded more than $23 million to help county clerks improve and maintain property records and other documents, according to the Department of State.
