Two Measles Cases Confirmed in Wisconsin County

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Vernon County Health Department confirmed two laboratory-confirmed cases of measles in Vernon County. The cases were identified through testing at the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene.

Public health officials are investigating whether the cases are connected to previously confirmed measles cases in the state. Officials are working to identify and notify people who may have been exposed to the measles virus.

At this time, no public exposure locations have been identified. If public exposure locations are identified, they will be posted on the DHS Outbreaks and Investigations webpage, according to the department.
