The Trump Administration announced nearly $17 million in funding for rural Kansas healthcare through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

Of the funds, $16 million will support Emerging Technology Grants for 14 rural providers to adopt diagnostic tools, remote patient monitoring systems, and other emerging technologies. An additional $780,000 will fund the Interfacility Transport Project to improve patient transportation to specialty and behavioral healthcare.

This investment builds on more than $80 million in RHTP funding previously allocated to rural Kansas healthcare, including support for healthcare workforce recruitment and development, infrastructure upgrades, chronic disease management, and nutrition-focused initiatives.

The funding was made possible through the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, which directed $50 billion toward rural healthcare transformation efforts.
