The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has published calendar year 2024 quality ratings for clinicians, groups, and care organizations on Medicare.gov, making performance data publicly available for patients.

The performance information includes measures based on the Merit-based Incentive Payment System, which tracks clinician quality across multiple categories, as well as data on physicians in Advanced Alternative Payment Models and Accountable Care Organizations. Performance data is displayed through star ratings, percentage scores, and check marks.

Medicare patients and caregivers can now use the compare tool on Medicare.gov to search for and compare clinicians and groups enrolled in Medicare. The publicly reported data is intended to help patients select providers based on quality performance.

CMS said the public reporting of performance data is intended to empower patients to select and access care from clinicians that meet their needs.
