The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Civic Center in Marin County will host a three-month exhibition featuring works from the luxury fashion brand When Simon Met Ralph and ceramicist Susan McKinney.
The free exhibition runs from October 1 through January 7, 2027, on the first and third floors of the building. The show highlights designs by founders Simon Ungless and Jody Niederkohr, including men's suit jackets with the brand's signature feather print, lace dresses with rubberized overlay, felted wall-hangings, and graphic wall prints.
"It was important to us to pull together a selection that illustrates the breadth of what we do without losing focus on our signature approach to design," Ungless said.
The exhibition also includes collaborative works from McKinney, an industrial designer turned ceramicist. In the series, McKinney and the designers used glass beads from vintage 1920s dresses, embedding them into clay forms fired at high heat to create pieces where the glass melted into the stone.
Ungless's work has been included in international exhibitions, and pieces of his print work created with designer Alexander McQueen are part of the permanent collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
