The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing approximately $350,000 to resurface a section of westbound US-10 in Bay County, work that begins Sept. 13, the agency said.

The resurfacing project covers the highway between Carter Road and Flajole Road near Auburn. Westbound traffic will be maintained with a single-lane closure. On Wednesday, Sept. 16, westbound US-10 Exit 130 to southbound M-47 and the northbound M-47 entrance ramp to westbound US-10 will be closed to accommodate construction.

The weather-dependent work will extend the lifespan of the roadway and increase safety for motorists, according to MDOT. Based on economic modeling, the investment is expected to directly and indirectly support about three jobs.
