North Carolina Governor Josh Stein announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever shot and killed Don'Tae De'Charles Nixon in Castle Hayne on December 3, 2024.

Nixon, 31, was found dead in his vehicle on Stoney Road with gunshot wounds. He had just gotten into his vehicle to leave for work at UPS, where he was a package handler.

Deputies responding to a report of a shooting discovered Nixon deceased at the scene.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office at 798-4260 or the State Bureau of Investigation at 662-4500.
