The U.S. Treasury Department issued an alert today and imposed sanctions targeting procurement networks that support Iran's commercial aviation industry, which the government said the Iranian regime uses to transport weapons, funds, and personnel for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its terrorist proxies.

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued the alert to help financial institutions identify and report those networks. Concurrently, the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned 36 entities and individuals across multiple jurisdictions, according to the department.

The action supports Operation Economic Outcast, the Trump Administration's campaign to sever economic support for the Iranian regime and the IRGC.
