Nevada's Bureau of Consumer Protection is inviting ratepayers to submit views on NV Energy's Integrated Resource Plan through an online survey, according to Attorney General Aaron D. Ford.
The survey addresses data center impacts, customer affordability, grid reliability and proposed generation projects. The survey replaces an in-person public session following a determination by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada that such a session was not in the public interest.
"By taking this survey, Nevadans can help my office understand the concerns and worries they face in our state," Ford said. "Information that we receive from the residents of our state is vital for that work."
The Bureau of Consumer Protection advocates for residential and small business ratepayers in proceedings before the Public Utilities Commission. The plan under review includes significant capacity growth driven by data center demand. Its approval would directly impact future electric rates, grid reliability and the state's progress toward its clean energy goals. The Public Utilities Commission is expected to issue a final decision by December 31, 2026.
