The Colorado Secretary of State has certified the ballot for the 2026 General Election on Tuesday, November 3, which will include 14 statewide measures for voters to decide.
The ballot includes one proposition referred by the legislature and 13 citizen-initiated amendments and propositions. The referred measure, Proposition NN, addresses state public K-12 education funding.
Citizen-initiated measures on the ballot cover law enforcement reporting requirements, constitutional rights to natural gas, hunting and fishing, mail ballot voter identification, plain language ballot questions, congressional redistricting, and graduated income tax. Propositions address penalties for fentanyl crimes, human trafficking of a minor, male and female participation in school sports, surgeries for minors, income tax rate cap, and sporting goods sales tax revenue for conservation.
Voters in the Front Range Passenger Rail District, spanning parts of 13 counties, will also see Ballot Issue 7A on funding for the Colorado Connector passenger rail project.
Colorado will begin sending mail ballots to active voters on October 2, with a deadline for initial delivery on October 9. Minimum numbers of drop boxes must be open by October 12, and voting centers by October 19. The deadline to register to vote and receive a mail ballot is October 26. Election Day is November 3, with ballots needing to be submitted or voters in line by 7 p.m.
