Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford filed his office's biennial report to the state Legislature and Governor Joe Lombardo, detailing two years of accomplishments in consumer protection, criminal justice, and enforcement, the office announced.
The report highlights a first-of-its-kind settlement with social media platform Roblox imposing safety measures for Nevada children; lawsuits that successfully challenged presidential executive orders concerning elections; and stopping unlicensed sports betting prediction markets, making Nevada the first state to do so.
The office obtained approximately $20.6 million in ordered restitution through criminal and civil cases, with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit securing more than double the national average for fraud prosecutions despite having less than half the national average of staff. The Post-Conviction Division achieved an 88 percent success rate in the U.S. District Court and Ninth Circuit and approximately 95 percent in the Nevada Supreme Court, according to the report.
The office also pursued litigation against generic drug manufacturers alleging price-fixing conspiracies, which resulted in settlements and cooperation agreements.
