Proponents of Proposed Initiative #195 submitted enough valid petition signatures to qualify for the November 3, 2026, general election ballot, Colorado's Elections Division announced.
The initiative proposes to change the Colorado Constitution to implement a graduated income tax. The measure required signatures from each state senate district equal to two percent of registered electors from that district, plus 124,238 total signatures statewide.
Proponents submitted 165,765 total petition signatures. The Elections Division determined that 130,938 signatures were valid and that proponents met the requirement in each state senate district. Invalid signatures totaled 34,827.
The ballot measure will appear on the November 3, 2026, general election ballot.
