The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced the winners of its 2027 wild turkey, pheasant and waterfowl stamp design contest.

Ritch Miller of Hazelhurst won the waterfowl design contest, Sam Timm of Wautoma won the pheasant contest, and Douglas Schuster of Hatley won the turkey stamp contest. The judging took place on August 22 at the Wisconsin Waterfowl Expo in Oshkosh. The judges were Tyler Hasheider of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Mark Kakatsch of the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation, and Alicia Ward of the International Crane Foundation.

The winning designs will appear on the 2027 editions of the stamps. While hunters are required to purchase stamps to harvest these game birds, anyone may purchase a stamp to support conservation efforts. Sales of the three stamps generate hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for species management throughout Wisconsin, including habitat management, restoration, education and research projects.

Physical copies of the stamps are available upon request through the DNR's Collector Stamps webpage or at any open Service Center.
