Dutchess County officials will host a public forum to discuss the use of Flock automatic license plate reader technology, the county announced.
The forum is scheduled for September 23 at 5 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Town Hall. District Attorney Anthony Parisi, Sheriff Kirk Imperati, County Legislator Eric Alexander, and Legislature Chair Yvette Valdés Smith are scheduled to participate.
The event comes as residents have raised concerns about the surveillance technology. Officials said the forum will provide residents an opportunity to ask questions and express concerns. "We have had many constituents share concerns over the use of Flock and this forum will provide real information and clarity," Valdés Smith said in the announcement.
