Proposed Initiative 256, titled "Congressional Redistricting," has qualified for Colorado's November 3, 2026 general election ballot after gathering sufficient valid signatures, the Elections Division of the Colorado Secretary of State's Office announced.
Proponents submitted 185,070 signatures. The Elections Division determined that 141,866 were valid. For a constitutional amendment, the initiative was required to meet a statewide threshold of 124,238 signatures and gather signatures from each state senate district equal to two percent of registered electors in that district. The measure met all district requirements across Colorado's 35 state senate districts.
