The Michigan Department of Transportation will invest $711,000 to repave nearly 1 mile of M-22 in Leland, from Hill Street to Reynolds Street in Leelanau County.
The work will include concrete curb and gutter installation, sidewalk improvements, and new pavement markings. The project will upgrade sidewalk ramps to Americans with Disabilities Act standards, providing a smoother driving surface and improved accessibility.
Drivers should expect single-lane closures with traffic regulators during construction. Periodic parking lane closures are also possible, and Saturday work may occur. According to economic modeling, the investment is expected to directly and indirectly support six jobs.
