Washington's Department of Commerce and the State Emergency Operations Center are coordinating donations from businesses and nonprofits to aid communities hit by recent wildfires in Chelan, Ferry, Okanogan, Spokane, Stevens and Yakima counties, as well as three tribal nations: the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation, Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and the Spokane Tribe of Indians.

Governor Bob Ferguson said the state is working across government levels to organize and deliver donations to affected people. "It's heartbreaking to see the devastation from these wildfires," Ferguson said, "but we're also seeing the community spirit and resilience that makes Washington great."
The state is prioritizing donations of diapers, sheets, blankets, baby formula, hygiene supplies, non-perishable food, paper products, plastic silverware, new kitchen items, pet food and gift cards. All items must be new and unopened. The state is not currently accepting clothing, shoes, appliances, furniture, toys, or over-the-counter medications.
People seeking assistance can call 211, visit wa211.org, or contact their local emergency management agencies. Three separate long-term recovery groups are coordinating aid by county.
