Governor Greg Abbott rang the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange to mark the grand opening of NYSE Texas, a fully electronic equities exchange now headquartered in Dallas.

NYSE Texas, part of Intercontinental Exchange Inc., began operations in 2025 and has established permanent headquarters at the historic Old Parkland campus. The facility brings a major financial market infrastructure to Texas, which the governor said now hosts more capital than any other state.

"Texas has now been home to the most capital of any state in the United States of America, and it just makes sense that Texas is now home to capital markets right here in Dallas," Abbott said. "We are future-proofing our state to ensure that we will be a long-lasting legacy for any business that wants to operate here."

According to the governor's office, Texas ranks as the eighth-largest economy in the world, leads the nation in job creation, and consistently ranks among the best states for business. The opening drew senior leadership from NYSE and Intercontinental Exchange, along with state legislators.
