U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested five individuals with serious criminal convictions, the Department of Homeland Security announced.
The arrests include Ung Bang (Vietnam), convicted of first-degree murder in Alhambra, California; Karel Pineda (Cuba), convicted of first-degree sex offense with a child and arson in Cumberland County, North Carolina; Henry Duarte-Morataya (Guatemala), convicted of sex assault, risk of injury to a child and reckless endangerment in Stamford, Connecticut; Masroor Ahmed Butt (India), convicted of intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and possession of child pornography in Washington, D.C.; and Sean Lopes (Guyana), convicted of kidnapping and possession of a weapon in New York.
