The Michigan Department of Transportation will perform deck repairs on three bridges in the I-75/I-69 interchange in Genesee County beginning August 30, according to the agency. The $348,000 project involves concrete patching on structures connecting the I-69 westbound to southbound I-75, I-69 westbound to I-75 northbound, and I-75 northbound to Miller Road.

Traffic will be maintained with intermittent lane, ramp and shoulder closures. Work on the I-69 westbound to I-75 southbound ramp will begin first, with repairs to the other two ramps proceeding after Labor Day, MDOT said.

The repairs are expected to extend the lifespan of the structures and increase safety for motorists, the department said. Based on economic modeling, the project is expected to directly and indirectly support about two jobs. The work is weather-dependent.
