The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned three organizations and two individuals for ties to what the government characterizes as violent extremist networks. Designated organizations include Autistici Inventati, Palestine Action, and Masar Badil.
Autistici Inventati, an Italy-based entity, was sanctioned for providing digital infrastructure and services including website hosting and encrypted communications to extremist groups. Palestine Action, a United Kingdom-based organization proscribed as a terrorist group by the UK government in July 2025, was targeted for acts involving infiltration of military installations and damage to military equipment since July 2020.
Masar Badil is a transnational organization Treasury described as a front for the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, which was jointly sanctioned by Canada and the United States in October 2024 for ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. Zaid Abdulnasser and Rawa Alsagheer were designated as senior leaders of Masar Badil.
"Far-left extremists, their fronts, and their enablers should be on notice: We will bring the full weight of our economic tools to bear," said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The sanctions block any U.S. property held by the designated groups and individuals and prohibit U.S. persons from conducting transactions with them.
