The Social Security Administration's Office of the Inspector General announced it has joined the National Fraud Detection Center, a partnership with the Department of Justice focused on identifying and disrupting complex fraud schemes targeting federal programs.
As a signatory to the NFDC Charter, the SSA OIG committed dedicated analysts and investigators to the prosecutor-led effort. The NFDC serves as a centralized space bringing together federal law enforcement agencies, inspector general offices and state partners.
Kevin Huse, acting assistant inspector general for investigations at SSA OIG, said the partnership "enhances our capacity to identify criminal patterns, disrupt organized fraud networks, and protect the programs relied on by millions of Americans."
