GE Vernova, a global energy equipment and services company, will invest $166 million to expand its Western Pennsylvania operations, creating at least 714 new jobs and retaining 735 existing positions, according to the state Department of Community & Economic Development.
The expansion will increase manufacturing capacity at the company's Charleroi facility by adding new machinery and equipment to manufacture critical grid technologies.
"Investing in American manufacturing is the key to turbocharging the country's economy, and Western Pennsylvania plays an important role in our energy future," said GE Vernova CEO Scott Strazik.
