As we pay tribute to those who lost their lives because of the attacks, we want to remind New Yorkers of the 9/11 Assistance programs that may be available to you.The World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program provides no-cost medical monitoring and treatment for eligible responders and survivors, including residents, area workers, and students with health conditions related to their exposure on 9/11 and through July 2002.The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) provides financial compensation for physical illnesses or deaths related to 9/11 for both responders and survivors, including residents, area workers, and students.
Applicants do not have to currently be sick to register.For more information, please visit the9/11 Assistance Programs webpage.

Under President Ronald Reagan, itwas expanded to a30-day long celebration.
Each year, werecognize Hispanic history and culture of the United States, includingtheimportant influencesthe community has hadon art, cuisine, advocacy, and, especially, the labor movement.
Workforce Development MonthSeptember is Workforce Development Month, a time that celebrates the impact that workforce developmenthason supporting workers and growingoureconomy.
At the Department of Labor, workforce development is one of our top priorities.
