Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport unveiled a refreshed logo on August 19, marking the latest phase in its evolution as a regional travel hub. The new branding modernizes the airport's "I Fly OAK" tagline while preserving the recognition travelers have associated with the airport.
The rebrand reflects the airport's values of convenience, accessibility, value, and connection to Bay Area communities, according to the Port of Oakland's Director of Aviation Craig Simon. "The logo refresh represents who we are today and where we're headed tomorrow," he said.
The airport has recently completed extensive restroom renovations and added locally inspired dining and retail options, including a Trader Vic's location set to open in coming weeks. The Port of Oakland is also planning a Terminal Modernization and Development Project for future improvements.
On the day of the logo launch, the airport hosted a National Aviation Day celebration in Terminal 2, featuring activities including storytelling sessions hosted by Oakland Public Library, an aviation-themed selfie station, complimentary airport merchandise, and ice cream for guests.
