Nevada's Attorney General is opening grant competitions for law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, courts, and nonprofit organizations working to combat domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Eligible applicants can seek funding through the Services-Training-Officers-Prosecutors (STOP) and Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) grant programs, which are funded by the U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women.
The grants support organizations providing services to victims and survivors, as well as efforts to hold offenders accountable. Attorney General Aaron D. Ford said the funding helps ensure that "survivors across Nevada have access to the support and resources they need while strengthening efforts to hold offenders accountable."
